Surabaya, June 30, 2025 — The Jean Monnet Modules program titled “TCP Sustainable Inv” was officially launched on June 30, 2025, in Surabaya. This 10-day academic course, focusing on European regulations and sustainable investment, concluded successfully on July 12, 2025.

Funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ initiative, the program brought together 35 registered studentsand a diverse range of international experts, combining academic theory with real-world insights. Among the distinguished lecturers was Avv. Jacopo Cappuccio, who traveled from Italy to teach in person.

The course was also honored by the presence of Prof. Iman Prihandono, Dean of the Faculty of Law, who contributed as a guest lecturer. In addition, Dr. Widhayani Dian Pawestri, an expert in Investment Law, shared her insights enthusiastically, expressing her joy in engaging with the students on complex legal and economic issues.

Another key contributor was Prof. Giuseppe Ciccone, a specialist in European Union Law and Economy, who added valuable context to the discussions on EU regulations and sustainable development.

Jean Monnet Modules 2025 successfully invited professors from globally recognized institutions, including Gdańsk University (Poland), University of Warwick (UK), University of Opole (Poland), and City University of Hong Kong, among others. The course also featured practitioners such as the Vice Mayor of Bologna and a sustainable machine engineer, offering students firsthand perspectives from both public policy and industry.

Conducted in a hybrid format, the program enabled both in-person and online participation, ensuring accessibility and broader international collaboration. The diversity of speakers and teaching styles significantly enriched the academic experience.

Dian Purnama Anugerah, serving as the program coordinator, expressed his sincere gratitude to the European Union for supporting this initiative. “This is a remarkable opportunity for our students to enhance their knowledge,” he said. “It offers essential exposure to global perspectives, particularly for those who aspire to become future leaders.”

The successful execution of the Jean Monnet Modules 2025 reflects a deep commitment to interdisciplinary learning and cross-border academic cooperation, further establishing Surabaya as a hub for international education.
